When we follow a diet, most people assume and fear that it has to be bland and boring. But that’s not the truth. We can eat delicious and still be on diet. It all depends on the alternatives that we choose for our regular traditional food which is loaded with carbohydrates and glutens. Also, one should remember that adding fruits and vegetables no matter what weather you’re in diet or not is crucial. We are going to look at one such recipe. It’s the delicious Sabudana dosa which is made with four simple ingredients; sabudana, samak rice, curd and salt to make a dosa batter which can be used to make some super delicious dosas. Sabudana Dosa is a filling food, rich in carbs and will give you enough energy. You can pair up the dosas with coconut chutney.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sago
  • 2 tablespoon yoghurt (curd)
  • 1/2 cup samak chawal
  • salt as required

Process:

Soak sabudana for 4 hours and samak rice for about 30 minutes. add soaked sabudana/sago, samark rice, curd and some water. Blend to form a thick paste. Add some water and blend again to adjust the consistency. The batter should be on the thinner side. Add salt as per taste and whisk well. Heat pan and add few drops of oil and pour 2 ladlefuls of batter on the tawa and spread in circular motions to form a thin layer. Once golden and crispy from both sides, Sabudana Dosa is ready to be served.
