The usual coconut balls or barfi has become common down the line. But we always look to spruce up things, hence is this dish. It is delicious and flavourful Coconut Rose Ladoo made with the goodness of rose syrup, coconut, nuts and condensed milk. This dish can be enjoyed at occasions like Diwali or also it can be eaten to break a fast. The ladoo can be decorated with rose petals for a visual presentation as well.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cup desiccated coconut
  • 1 tablespoon rose syrup
  • 2 teaspoon ghee
  • 1 handful roasted peanuts
  • 1/2 cup condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoon rose water
  • 1/2 cup crushed mixed dry fruits
  • 1 handful almonds

Process:

Heat a pan and add 1tsp, once the ghee is hot roast the dry fruits and nuts, transfer to a plate and keep aside. To the same pan, add 1 teaspoon ghee and add the desiccated coconut, keep stirring.  When coconut is cooked, add condensed milk along with rose syrup, rose water, mix it all together and keep cooking. Once the ladoo mixture is cooked nicely, add the roasted dry fruits and nuts by crushing them. Allow the mixture to cool down and make small ladoos and enjoy!
