Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga has managed to win over millions with its heartwarming storyline. The film revolves around a same-sex relationship and shows the struggles they go through to find acceptance in the family and the society. Sonam Kapoor plays the lead in the fim which also stars Regina Cassandra, Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla and Rajkummar Rao.
The film has been doing well at the box office. Adding to the excitement, the latest reports suggest that film’s screenplay will be included in The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences Library. The people working for the Academy, more commonly known as the Oscars, are the ones who requested the makers of the film for a copy of the screenplay to be added to the permanent Core Collection.
Sonam’s previous movie Sanju as well as producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Broken Horses have made their way to The Academy’s library. Reacting to the big news, Sonam Kapoor said, “It is my first movie with my father and also because it has a strong message that deserves to be told. I’m really happy that it was selected to be part of the Oscar library and I’m overwhelmed by the kind of love audiences have showered on the film.”
