Actor Ranbir Kapoor is likely to team up with filmmaker Sandeep Vanga Reddy for his upcoming crime drama, a report suggests. Recently, Kabir Singh director, Sandeep had mentioned that he is planning his next stint in Bollywood after his last film with Shahid Kapoor. According to reports, Sandeep Vanga pitched the idea for his next film to producer Bhushan Kumar and the two have agreed that Ranbir Kapoor would be the best choice for it.
Accoriding to a source, “Sandeep had a “close door meeting” with producer Bhushan Kumar and he narrated a story idea to Bhushan, who has liked it and will produce the film. They have met to discuss the logistics and casting”. The source also revealed that Ranbir has liked the concept and they will be meeting this week to discuss it further. Of course, even if Ranbir gives the nod, they will not be able to roll immediately because he has to wrap up two films, Brahmastra and Shamshera, first and is committed to a third, Luv Ranjan’s next with Ajay and Deepika Padukone, which is being produced by Luv and Bhushan.
Meanwhile, Ranbir recently shot for Shamshera with Vaani Kapoor in Ladakh. Shamshera is produced by Yash Raj Films and will have Ranbir in a double role. The film is slated to release next year. On the other hand, Ranbir also is shooting for Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra with Alia Bhatt. It also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy. Produced by Karan Johar, Brahamstra is slated to release in the summer of 2020. Bhushan Kumar is also quite busy. Bhushan Kumar is busy with production work for Marjaavaan, Mogul, Street Dancer 3D, and Bhuj: The Pride of India.
