James Corden Embraces Mischievous Reputation in ‘Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway’ Teaser Trailer

Sony Pictures has released a new trailer and poster for Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway. Based on the stories written by Beatrix Potter, the character of Peter Rabbit first appeared in 1902. The anamorphic animal has since popped up in a number of adaptations. The sequel to the 2018’s Peter Rabbit catches up with Thomas (Domhnall Gleeson), Bea (Rose Byrne) and the rabbits that have become a makeshift family. Despite his best efforts, Peter (James Corden) can’t seem to shake his mischievous tendencies. When adventuring out of the garden, Peter finds himself in a world where his mischief is appreciated. Conflict ensues when his family risks everything to come looking for him, which forces Peter to figure out what kind of bunny he wants to be. The live-action/computer-animated comedy is directed by Will Gluck and written by Patrick Burleigh and Gluck. David Oyelowo, Daisy Riddle, Elizabeth Debicki and Margot Robbie also lend their voices to the cotton-tailed cast. The family feature boasts some of the biggest names in Hollywood.Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway is a different sort of film. But as the first installment did, it’s likely to find an audience. The Sony Pictures production hops into theaters on April 3, 2020.
